Zoltan has over 23 years of experience in the fields of law and business primarily within the pharmaceutical industry. Zoltan is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Phoenix IP Ventures. Founded in 2004, Phoenix IP Ventures is an integrated growth equity and venture capital fund focused on acquiring and maximizing the value of neglected marketed revenue generating products as well as development stage assets in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to co-founding Phoenix IP Ventures, Zoltan was Director, Intellectual Property Screening for GSK Ventures, an investment group within GlaxoSmithKline’s business development function responsible for investing non-core assets of GlaxoSmithKline. Zoltan managed the ‘Pure IP’ portfolio for and led and participated in various compound and technology transactions. Prior to his work with GSK Ventures, Zoltan was a Senior Patent Counsel for GSK responsible for protecting and enforcing GSK’s intellectual property. Prior to joining GSK, Zoltan was an attorney focused on intellectual property litigation and IP transactional work with White & Case, a preeminent global law firm based in NYC and Hopgood, Calimafde, Kalil & Judlowe (now Morgan Lewis), an intellectual property litigation boutique firm.

Currently Zoltan is the Chairman of the Board of PreSun Skincare, LLC, and has previously served on the Board of Directors for Iroko Pharmaceuticals LLC, both portfolio companies of Phoenix IP Ventures. In addition, Zoltan is a Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International House of Philadelphia.

Zoltan has a BS in Biology from Fordham University and a JD from Boston University School of Law. He is a member of the New York State and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bars. Zoltan is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
